First of all I would like to wish everyone a Happy and healthy New Year.I would be grateful if someone could give me some advice on a situation a friend of mine is finding herself in.My friend is in receipt of ESA (C)and in the WRAG group since a Tribunal hearing in 2009. She's only ever attended one appointment with Pathway to Work. The Adviser told her that she wasn't fit for work and never heard anything else since then.Last December she received an invitation to her local jobcentre plus for an appointment with a disability adviser. My friend suffers from Pustular Psoriasis, crippling Arthritis and Depersonalisation, which is causing a lot of problems, like leaving taps, oven etc on.Very nearly she caused a fire a few month ago. She showed the disability adviser her legs, hands and told her about her Depersonalisation. She was out of the office within 15min.Last Wednesday she received a letter from Triage telling her that she needs to attend a work program session and that at the end of that session will be expected to search and apply for work for one hour. There's no way that she can work but the Jobcentre and Triage all ignore her Illness/Condition.She's being treated like there's nothing wrong with her.Can they make her apply for jobs when she is clearly very ill and still on ESA? Sorry this has been a long Post. Thanks.
