Still waiting for reply from DWP,Feel Very Anxious was created by emma72
Hi Everyone,
I sent a letter of reconsideration to the DWP on 12/12/2011.
I still havent recieved a reply, not even an acknowledgement of my letter.I did state in my letter, that i would prefer any correspondence in writing, as i suffer with Significant GAD Anxiety/ Depression.
I am not able to deal with telephone calls, as i get extremely stressed and nervous.
I 'm not sure what to do next, as im getting extremely anxious, of the outcome

Emma
Given the Christmas and New Year breaks, it is quite likely the the DWP is still playing catch-up at the moment.
I would suggest you give it another week, meaning the they have had four working weeks and then try to contact them.
It would be easiest for you to contact them by phone, but I understand that you may be unable to do this. Do you have a partner, relative or friend that could contact them on your behalf? You may need to answer the security questions and confirm that it is alright for the DWP to speak to your reqpresentative, but that should be the extent of your involvement.
Failing this, you will have to write to the DWP asking for an update.
Let us know how you get on.

I ask because I appealed (Wrag>SG) at about the same time and although I've received no acknowledgement, my JC advisor was able to verify that the appeal had been lodged (she checked before agreeing to defer my WFIs).
She just had to get my case-files up on screen.
Did the JobCentre tell you that they had no record of your appeal?hi emma72 ,
