my daughter was on jsa but became ill so went on to esa with a note from her doctor they have asked for another fit note which has been sent
but the problem is she was on a work programme before she signed off jsa on the 28/12/2010 but they keep ringing up and saying that she must attend but i say she is too ill they say that her money will be stopped if she does not turn up reading through the faq i seem to think that she has to be assessed what she is being put on first but i cannot understand it all could you please help

Hi DM,
Yes, your daughter must be assessed under the ESA WCA.
There will then be one of three outcomes, she may be found "fit for work" no ESA, or she could be placed in the the WRAG of ESA, or the Support Group of ESA.
If your daughter is now in receipt of ESA, at the Assessment Rate, as she is still in the Assessment Phase of ESA, she should not have to attend any WFI's or WRA, see this thread, where the member is in receipt of ESA Assessment Rate, whilst appealing :

Hi DM,
In that case, she should not be compelled to attend WFI's etc, until she has undergone the assessment process, and written confirmation has been received regarding an award of ESA, and which group she has been placed in, if not found "fit for work"
You may wish to use the Pdf Version of the ESA50,it can be downloaded and saved to your P.C. from the link at the bottom of this page :
