Should a revision of a DLA decision be based on the evidence that was available to the original decision maker?
I ask because my GP has been asked for a statement & I have had to offer ATOS the chance to provide the DWP with a justification for their decision(a medical)
I would have thought a revision was just that, or am I wrong?

A Revision or Reconsideration is effectively a re-making of the original Decision handled by a different Decision Maker. If they believe they need additional information they are entitled to request it.
The claimant is also able to submit new evidence or clarification of their existing evidence at this time.
Hope this explains it.
