hi all, I have been told that although everyone is to be reassessed for IB that if you are nearing 60 then you are classed as "to old" for work, can anyone tell me if this is the case and if so how near to 60 must you be to be "to old". thank you.
Hi J1,
This is being discussed on the forum at the moment, please see the rules regarding exemption from IB to ESA Migration, and age:

The State Retirement Age for both men and women is being changed. There is a link to the a SRA calculator in the FAQ previously referred to, which allow you to fond out when you will actually retire, however, since the SRA for men was already 65, he should expect to be transferred.hi bro 58,

Hi J1,
It is State Pension Age that is applicable, which will obviously be different for each claimant, as to their DOB and sex.
Use the State Pension Age calculator at the bottom of the page from the link that I gave you.
