Supporting Evidence ? Got A reply from DWP today was created by emma72
Hi Everyone,
Ive just recieved a reply from the DWP regarding my appeal letter, from WRAG to hopefully SG.
They say if i can send any other supporting evidence, they may revise the decision.
Can anyone from Citizens Advice, represent me ?
My GP wont write a letter of support
My partner wrote a letter, alongside the letter i sent, but im really stuck, i dont know who else to ask ?

Hi Emma,
Do you have any other professionals dealing with you. What about family memebers could they help? How about friends? if they could write how the illness affect you every day within the descriptors the dwp test for with ESA they have to take those letters into account as well. Hope you get some support. x

Hi Emma
You need to contact Citizens Advice regarding representation. They may be able to assist you with the appeal but most CAB offices are not funded to represent appellants at tribunals.
As Paula says, there is no harm in providing a letter of support from your partner or anyone else who knows and understands your disability. If your GP supports you but won't write a letter you might consider writing to the DWP and requesting that they contact your GP for a report (see page 18 of the ESA appeal guide).
But please bear in mind, while evidence seems to be everything to the DWP, tribunals are not usually won by a substantial amount of medical evidence, but rather the oral evidence that the appellant has to offer at the hearing.
Best of luck
Derek
