I DO NOT want to give in to Gov., but my health is more important. I also don't want DLA to assume if I don't return forms when time comes my condition has improved and I've not told them! Maybe my GP can help, anybody know?.

Once you get renewal date your old claim is over. Ive been to tribunal n won 5 times in six yrs. The dwp thinks that when my award runs out in april i get a miracle cure overnight.
They wo t care if you dont reapply. If they ask tell the truth. You cant cope with the stress and the effect on your health. Please please please heck tho that it wont affect any other benefits you get

going through transfer IB to ESA now. even if put in WRAG most likely I won't appeal- not up to it!, as I have small pension, next year won't get any money anyway! Just don't want to give myself more stress, don't have a DLA renewal date as got awarded indefinate DLA 2008.

Me too. Both at once is a nightmare. I ended up in hospital cos i had a meltdown. In only 44 tho so i cant give up. Im worried that either medical get get me kicked off both, and im sure it will. They have no understanding. I will keep going to prove myself. My biggest prob is my gp is unsupportive even though i have proof of my condition. Tribunals have been pretty fair for me tho. The first was bad cos the dr was a nightmare. The second they were so nice that i couldnt relax in case they were trying to trip me up. Ive won them all.unanimously. I have pointed out this but they tell me its not relevant to my renewal, its about now. Dohhhhh. I have an atos dr at home this week so am expecting the " no" shortly and star again. Its a battle of will but whilst it makes me ill and causes so much stress is almost worth it when the tribunal says yes. I always ring dwp to tell them immediately and that givrs me a great sense of satisfaction. Given the changing rules im not sure how long tht will continue tho.

I'm 45, like you, long way still to go!,I tried to open DECISION MAKERS EXCHANGE 72 (2007) which gives DM guidance on what to do if a person wants to come off DLA voluntarly. Couldn't get it to work, so no further forward! Any more ideas anyone?.

I am so sorry this awful system is making people so poorly that they will risk poverty to escape it.The forms are our only influence over our fate and the benefits and Work forum has such skilled advice that it is a pity not to attempt to jump the first fence. Get as much support as possible , use friends and family to describe how your disability effects you day to day. Fill it in as perfectly as possible and know that, whatever the outcome, you have done your best to stand up for your rights. It will help how you feel about yourself.
