Hi,
Bearing in mind your above paragraph, after following the advice already given (as you are VERY time limited) there is help available to you primarily from:
The British Limbless Ex-Servicemen's Association:
Blesma
185-187 High Road
Chadwell Heath
Romford
Essex RM6 6NA
Tel: 0208 590 1124
Fax: 0208 599 2932
Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
web: www.blesma.org/
or via The Veterans Welfare Service:
see: www.veterans-uk.info/welfare/contact.html
for contact numbers.
Failing that, The Royal British Legion Disability Claims & Tribunals Section - direct numbers here:
www.britishlegion.org.uk/about-us/contact-us#jump5555
or via Legionline: 08457 725 725
SSAFA, or the Army Benevolent Fund (if ex army), RAFA (if ex RAF) or RNA if ex RN can also assist if you are experiencing such as financial problems in the interim.
There is help for you out there and one of the relevant caseworkers from either BLESMA or the RBL etc will guide you through the process and represent you if needed. BLESMA being particularly good in this sphere for former HM Forces amputees.
Pete
