Help needed with CV

I currently attend WFI for my WRAG ESA. On my first visit I was asked to fill in a CV, I am presuming this is just part of the motions that nearly everyone has to go through (hopefully). They gave me an example CV to see for ideas on how to write it. Obviously the example one is full of positives, as that person is not sick. So what do I write ? As it is a CV am I meant to just write all positives and ignore my health issues ? As I have multiple health issues that stop me from working I am unsure exactly how I am meant to do a CV with positive comments on.

Is it a common thing for WFI to ask WRAG people to do a CV and is it just a exercise or is this something they will keep and use for the future ? I don't know any of my exam grades which are shown on the example one.

Anyone else had to do this ? What would you do in my shoes ? Thanks everyone.

A CV (curriculum vitae) is a short list of facts about you and your work history, skills and experience. A good CV is essential when looking for work and it is worth spending time getting it right so it sells you to an employer. It is benefits related because ESA & JSA claimants are often asked to prepare a CV.

Type in Google CV or curriculum vitae, and you'll find help with CV's. See also the DirectGov website Writing a CV.

Hi Benson

This is not in any way advice on what you should do, but to answer your question, I have been asked by a WFI advisor to bring in a CV at my next interview, so I'll tell you what I did.

I updated a glowing CV that was more than six years old, with a recent section explaining that I have been unable to work in recent years due to health problems. I gave very brief information of my health problems and tried to keep the CV formal and as positive as I possibly could, with all honesty.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you what my WFI interviewer made of it, because when I attended my next interview, he seem to have forgotten that he asked for my CV, and didn't even mention it!
