ESA work related activity grp was created by Gertie
I have to answer the following question and I dont know how to I would appreciate some advice: WHAT DO YOU FEEL NEEDS TO BE DONE TO ENABLE YOU TO RETURN TO WORK?
My Background: Currently receive ESA, DLA care and mobility + severe disability premium. My doctor cant answer this question and neither can my 4 consultants because they are not fortune tellers but I have to answer it even though I am too ill to work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
G

I suggest throwing the question back at them, replying what do you think is a feasable work prospect, where and when I could achieve this goal and where and when and who will pay for the training and where and when will that take place. Smile sweetly and it will throw them.Even suggest they undertake a work enabling test via their disabilty and return to work officer. This will no doubt be an unfeasable prospect. You have therefore opened up the door to them and if they cannot accomodate, then it is their problem to solve. Good luck

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

It might help if you could explain the context to your question, for example, who has asked you and why?

Hi Gordon I have been asked the question by the job centre advisor (who I have say is very nice and she thinks it is ridiculous me being there, but is just doing her job) but what a ridiculous question to ask. If I had an answer to that I could be planning my whole futur, dates, times etc. - I could even find a cure for my illness. I just think common sense in less common these days. They still ask this question even though all my consultants state ' to ill to work'....madness!
