Nil rate would mean that you are receiving NI Credits only and no weekly payment for your ESA(CB).
This can happen if for example you were in receipt of a weekly pension that had eroded your ESA(CB) payments to zero, or were subject to the time limiting of ESA(CB) for members of the WRAG.
