Medical Redording Question was created by mike
I have sent a letter to Atos Healthcare and a letter to the Benefits office using the B&W template to have my medical recorded. Both letters have been sent to the addresses that i have had recent correspondance from.
Question.
Should i also send a letter to the Atos medical centre where i am to have my medical examination.
Thanks in advance for any answers.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I just sent a letter to DWP and it worked perfectly well. I had my appointment re-arranged to allow time to get the equipment in place and the assessment went smoothly.

As yet i do not know if Atos will allow me to have my medical recorded as since sending a written request, they have not contacted me to confirm if i can have the medical recorded.
I phoned Atos early this week and i was told to phone back nearer the time of the medical.
My medical is next week, and after the last medical i had i really was hoping to have this one recorded.

You need to get in touch with the ATOS centre immediately, to check if the recording facility has been set up.
They should have already arranged for you to have a recorded medical, since you have told them and the DWP about this. If they haven't they may need to re-schedule your medical as they say that they need 3 weeks notice to arrange a recorded medical.
If the arrangements have NOT been made, make sure that you tell them that any re-arranging needed is their fault, not yours.
This is because they normally only allow one re-scheduling per medical.

Thanks carruthers
I have phoned Atos again and was told that they have received my request for a medical recording and to phone again early next week if i have not heard anything from them.
On the phone he did mention something about the time it takes to get the recording equipment between medical centres.
As yet i do not know if the medical will be recorded or not, but if not i guess their excuse will be that they did not get 3 weeks notice, although neither did i,as the appointment letter came within 3 weeks.

I didn't send in my request for recording until after I had received my appointment. This did mean that the appointment had to be rescheduled and, despite my protest, this was counted as my 1 permitted postponement.
