That sounds a good idea! If you could also lock the forum system so that users couldn't post when the forum is closed that would I'm sure help the mods.

That is indeed the case for members although moderators can still post if the forum is locked.
I notice that you are still showing as a Forum Signposter. Steve has already agreed that you are now a moderator so you can change your profile to Forum Moderator if you wish.

Well now I'm really confused. 
If you read Jim's post on Forum Opening Hours, it says that members are posting outside the hours, which is exactly what I was talking about!
