IB to WRAG with no medical and too late to appeal

I was transferred from IB to WRAG with no medical after completing ESA 50. At the time of receiving ESA WRAG in Dec 2011 I was incapacitated due to my condition, I was not made fully aware of the implications during the call from DWP and could not take what it all meant due to suffering and the extensive treatment I was going through until end of March. I feel I should have been placed in the Support Group due to my disabilities from my illness'. Am I too late to appeal or can I appeal under special circumstances? I have gathered letters from my GP, Hospital Consultant and Clinical Nurse Specialist stating that my condition would prevent me from employment and also stating that I was undergoing regular treatment from November 2011 to March 2012.
I have also been told by DWP that ESA (CB) will cease in Dec 2012 and I will not be eligible for JSA should I still be in WRAG

Whilst one is usually expected to lodge an appeal within 4 weeks of the decision, a late appeal can be accepted if you can show 'good cause' for doing so. I don't think 'good cause' is stipulated anywhere but would hope that being unwell would be accepted as such!

I hope this is the case. If not when would I be able to appeal again? I was told by my WFI Advisor that I shouldnt bother appealing at all as only those who are terminally ill or severely disabled are accepted into the Support Group.

If you do not appeal now, you would not be able to do so at a later stage (the longer you leave it, the more difficult it would be to show 'good cause').

Don't take any notice of what you were told at the WFI, the adviser is 'misinfornmed'.

I have just collated all the letters from GP, Consultant etc that I hope will help with my appeal. Does being on DLA at High Rate on both components make any difference?
