Appeal was created by ROSIE75
I have just had confirmation today that the DWP have received my appeal form and that they will let me know when they have revised the decision that I have appealed against whether it is in my favour, or not. Does anyone have any idea how long this is likely to take and if many people have their decision changed in their favour at this first stage of their appeal?

Also, I am going to see my doctor to get more evidence to support my appeal, so that I can send it to the DWP, but should I wait and see what the outcome of the revision is first? Is best to wait till I get all my medical records, etc .. sent to me at the beginning of May so that I can check for any discrepancies, etc.. to help with my appeal and then send off any further evidence? Many thanks.

Like every other stage of the process, revisions are taking longer at the moment - I have have heard of upwards of 3 months. We have members who have had a favourable outcome of reconsideration.

Whilst you can submit your evidence right up to 2 weeks before the tribunal, if you get it in soon it might give you a better chance at reconsideration.
