WFI over the phone was created by tazman
Hello,I have checked through the FAQs and see that it is possible to have a WFI over the phone. I have an appointment for one in a couple of weeks and am dreading it. I rarely leave my home and don't feel up to attending. I have recently transferred from IB to WRAG without medical and have sent in GL24 for appeal.
How do I go about requesting a phone interview? I'm worried about ringing them, but if I write to them, how do I know if the it arrives? Sorry to be a bother.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I recently received an appointment in the post for my first WCI (just a few days after the letting telling me I was in the WRAG). stapled to the front was a number to ring if I had any problems - I rang this number to request that my WFI is carried out over the phone.

You can try writing to your local JC+ office, however, it may be best to wait until you are contacted by them for an apoointment. The downside is that you only get 7 days notice, so you may need to phone them, or get a friend to do it for you, you may need to authorise the call.
The JC+ are not required to provide a WFI over the phone, so you may still need to look at attending.

When you get an apt for your WEI. phone them and explain you are have done your GL24 form and that you rarely go out etc. They may then say no need for a WFI til result of appeal/recon etc or may well do a phone WFI for you if they insist you have one.
