Sending Hospital reports, Future Hospital Appoint was created by ben202
[ I have found by joinning you as a member very useful indeed thankyou!! I would like to ask you a question:
I have nearly filled my ESA50 form in after being on i.b for 13 years approx, I have many documents from consultants, Doctors, Physiotherapists etc etc from my local and far away Hospitals that i have attended over the last 13 years, supporting my claim all about my conditions, also a copy of all my present medication and near future appointments. I was a little concerned if i should be sending all these documents although i feel i need to will the ATOS actually look at all these many documents? and how should i send them i.e. in a A4 Envolope recorded delivery. Also will ATOS keep all these documents on file for future reference on me? I also get Middle Care Allowance, Higher rate Motability, and Industriel Disease Benefit, I would be most grateful for any advise!!
Thanks

If you think that the medical reports that you reference help to confirm that you meet the ESA criteria, then there is no reason why you should not send them.
That said, the DWP are concerned with your condition as it is now, so you also need to show that your current condition remains unchanged, or worse, than it was when the reports were written.
You should be aware that whislt the DWP Decision Maker is required to review all evidence, they are entitled to apply their own weight to each item. Older evidence is likely to be given less weight that that which is newer. The DM is not medically trained and therefore may need to pass any medical information to ATOS for a "doctor" to express a view.
The following FAQ explains how to send in large bundles of information.
ESA50 too big for the envelope
The DWP usually keep your documents on file until another assessment is carried out, but you should not assume they will refer to them at a new assessment.
