Is there anything I can do, as my main fear is that the report will not be received before my present award ends.
Without my car. I am unable to leave the house, cannot get to hospital appointments,, get medication etc

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Sorry to correct you, but I am reasonably certain that DLA payments do not continue after the end of award date (e.g. 21/06/12), unlike ESA and IB which continue. The DWP will continue paying your DLA until another decision is made. I don't think there is any onus on them to get your new claim decided before they are ready.

If Motability contact you, and they may not until a Decision is made, you can explain that you are still waiting for a Decision, I would be surprised if they were to remove your car under these circumstances.

Realistically no, there is no timescale associated with the DWP making a DLA Decision. Is there anything I can do, as my main fear is that the report will not be received before my present award ends.
