Waiting for 10 weeks now!!!

Further to my post last Thursday, in which I explained that the consultant the DWP want a report from is in the US till 28th May.

I have now been told by the consultants secretary that the DWP have told her that they will wait till he gets back.

Does this mean that they will not make a decision till after they get this report.

I have been waiting for 10 weeks now, and my present DLA ends on 21st June..

Is there any onus on the DWP to come to a decision before my present award ends.

My GP is appalled by the stress this is causing, and is very supportive.

Is there anything I can do to bring this to a conclusion

The DWP will continue paying your DLA until another decision is made. I don't think there is any onus on them to get your new claim decided before they are ready.

I think the consultant means the DWP, namely DLA, can wait until he returns from his holiday in the USA before he considers doing a report for them!

Does that mean they will contimue to pay the DLA after 21st Junem when my present award is due to end?
