Moderators online. was created by Jim Allison BSc, Inst LE, MBIM; MA (Consumer Protection & Social Welfare Law)
Hi All,

Members logging in will see these as moderators : Alan, moonsista, Crazydiamond, bro58, Jim Allison, Gareth , Steve Donnison, pete17971, Survivor, Hardyards, Derek4, Gordon , Mrs Hurtyback, foss27, Bob Roberts.

However, in actual fact 5 are "Signposters" . 4 sign posters have never posted, and one has only posted twice..

Only the following are moderators: Crazydiamond, bro58,Gareth , Steve Donnison, pete17971, Survivor, Derek4, Gordon , Mrs Hurtyback and myself
but due to all moderators, except Steve being either chronically sick and/or disabled themselves and cannot be online much, so often we only have 2-3 moderators available to read all posts before clearing them for the forum, and to answer queries.

Would members please bear this in mind before posting queries when the answers to which can often be found in Gordon's FAQs or by using the 'Search Forum' facility I am copying this to Steve Donnison the site owner who due to pressure of work isn't able to visit the forum as often as he'd like to.

Many thanks for your cooperation.

Jim

Thanks Jim.

Can I also ask members not to post a second time if their question does not appear for a while? This simply increases the mod's work-load, it does not get the post accepted more quickly!

Hi Mrs HB,

I totally agree.

I'm afraid it's down to some members not reading the forum rules before posting.

Feel free to delete duplicate posts, Steve will back you or any other moderator 100%.

Best wishes.

Jim

Could you please explain what and the function of a "signposter" is? Seen it mentioned a few times on the site and it's got my curiosity going, lol

A few members volunterred to be 'signposters' a while ago when the mods were under a lot of pressure. The role of the signposter is to accept new posts and 'signpost' the place where information can be found.
