Hi Chrissy - from what I have heard, the longer awards are usually given to people in the support group.

Thank you Mrs Hurtyback, i just wondered as i,m still waiting for the results of my medical, and to be honest the difference in money for SG and WRAG would,nt help me much, id rather have a longer time in one group or the other, as any money other than what the law states you can live on would be taken up in rent and council tax.

Out of interest Mrs H, do you know just how ill someone has to be to be put into the support group?
The disability adviser I am now seeing at the job centre is a lovely chap but has admitted there is nothing he can do to help me. He told me last time I saw him that one of his clients, who had been passed fit for work by atos, had since died. Hmmm well done atos.

Getting into the Support Group, like being awarded ESa at all, depends entirely on meeting certain criteria
