PIP was created by Sorted125
Quoted from the DWP PIP .pdf

We expect to begin by reassessing about 30,000 cases between October and December 2013 to allow us to check processes.

Is there any news on exactly how the DWP are going to select the first 30,000.
I hope it's not the most vulnerable.

I also see that PIP is more 'evidence' based.
Are the DWP still ignorant of the fact that due to budget cuts, mental health services are discharging many people who still have problems, and these people cannot get evidence?

Thanks

I don't think there has been any indication of how the initial guinea-pigs will be selected.

Surely anyone who claims DLA should be regarded as vulnerable? There does seem to be a culture of "I'm worse than you!" at times.

Yes all DLA claimants are vulnerable, but some have more tougher challenges than others, thats why there is lower medium and high rate.

Thanks for the link

I just think people should focus on their own situation and not worry about others as it's neither helpful or productive.

Perhaps if, as you describe them, the most vulnerable are assessed first it might be helpful as their needs will have been monitored.
