“Mobilising” – outside the house? Repeatably?

Most days I am housebound due to rapid fatiguability. When discussing the “mobilising” descriptor, are they talking about moving 50 metres (or whatever distance) once you’ve left the house? It doesn’t seem to say that anywhere so will the assessor dealing with my appeal be aware of that?

Even if I can manage 50m on a particular day, I can’t keep managing it repeatedly (or do it when I choose – I have to wait until I have enough energy). Are the assessors instructed to take that into account?

My "repeatability" question also applies to the other descriptors such as being able to pick up and move a 0.5 litre container of liquid.

Yes, the mobilising test applies to you walking, etc. outside of the house, although this does not preclude you doing so in covered areas such as a shopping mall.

If you review the relevant descriptor in the Claim guide you will see that the phrase "avoid significant discomfort or exhaustion" is included.

Even where this is not explicitly stated, it is implied, which is supported by case law, that the physical tests must be repeatable within a reasonable period of time, although there is no clear definition of what a reasonable time is.
