Telling DWP I no longer qualify

I was wondering if anyone had the time to give me any tips on avoiding pitfalls of telling DWP I'm no longer entitled to Higher Rate mobility. Obviously, ideally I'd like them not to look at the whole claim again.
Thanks and thanks to the people running the site - you are stars!

Presumably you must be in receipt of DLA HRM and some element of the Care Component also.
Are you saying you think you're no longer entitled to HRM ? If that's the case, then you legally must inform the DLA Unit at Blackpool by phoning 08457 123456.
Whatever rate of Care component you're on, whilst it's possible for the DWP's Decision Maker to look at the Care Component, if your care needs haven't improved, then that award should be safe.
Hope I've understood your query right.
Jim

Thank you very much for your reply - so sorry I wasn't clear. And apologies for taking a while to get back to you.
Absolutely I have a moral and legal obligation to tell the DWP about the improvement in my condition. My, unclear, query was more on the wording. Mainly should I specfically say I still need help with Personal Care (I get Low Rate at the moment)?
Thanks again, Victoria

Hi Victoria,
We can't really advise you what to say, but what you've written sounds right.
Pardon me asking, but as I don't know what your illness and/or disability is, is the improvement in mobility permanent or is it likely to reoccur, if the latter is the case, I'd give it serious thought.
I'm not supposed to offer personal advice, but felt it necessary in your case.
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
Jim

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply again (and apologies for duplicate post)
It is a fluctuating condition, but I feel I've got to the stage where I'm as confident as I can be that I won't need HRM again (at least not for a long while, she says with fingers crossed!).
So, my major query is do I mention Care at all? If so, do I just say care needs haven't changed, or do I need to spell out why I still need lower rate care.
All the best, Victoria
