Neglecting to tell dwp about a change in your circumstance promptly may result in action being taken against you. For info visit (their website)
Has anyone else just received one of these out of the blue?

Hi,
It is a relatively new thing 'to keep in touch' with claimants'
From Direct Gov:
Text messages
The Benefit Integrity Centre may also send you a text message to remind you to:
return forms
tell DWP about changes in your circumstances
Text messages from a Benefit Integrity Centre will show the phone number as "Jobcentre Plus" or "Jobcentre +". The message will be for information only - you'll never be asked to reply by text message.

Thank you pete.
Is it my paranoia again or do they sound threatening? I feel utterly sick.

Hi,
It is a routine thing they are now starting to do. If they have a mobile number they can text you on, they will from time to time send out these messages.
You do not have to read it and if you want to, can just delete it.

I phoned them up because it terrified me. The lady said there was nothing on my file to suggest anything wrong, but i was upset and she asked why. Told her I'm terrified of losing my benefit and she said that's not going to happen unless I'm doing something wrong. If there was a change in my circumstances they'd be the first to know so what's the point in sending msgs like this?? Sorry, it's just really scared me. Thanks for replying.
