You should not be attending any medicals, anyone retiring before 2014 is exempt.

Sorry but this only applies to those being transferred to ESA from another benefit.

However, you are right to point out the date as ESA is an out of work benefit, it cannot be claimed at the same time as the State Pension.

iv just read your post mrs hurtyback and i am surprised you made a comment like that my son was put in the support group and he will not be revised for another 3 years.i can assure you we are not sat on our back sides and relaxing. we are now getting to grips with the thought of having to go through the stress of filling out his new pip forms and mine when the time arrives everyone is worried about this form and that form this goverment has made the disabled very frightened not through no fault of their own i wish could work and i wish my son had some sort of normal life which he cant have because of the awful illness that their is no cure for yet the fight goes on and waiting for the next form to fill out

Hi Gordon

Many thanks for your reply to my question. I asked when i was placed into the support group when i would be reassessed as there was no date on my award and was told it was indefinate!!! I appreciate that means nothing anymore. I try not to worry about it but i know it could be anytime soon, although i have thought this for the last 3 years.

I will keep you informed on this especially as the possible longest to date is 3 years. I think when i first claimed it was early days and ESA was fairly new and by the time my tribunal date arrived i had already done all the WFI and had attended every courses, i struggled healthwise with these courses but thought they were compulsary at the time as i had never been on any form of benefit prior to this. As i have discussed previously waiting all that time for my case to be heard at a tribunal for DWP then to reverse their decision a week before it was heard.

Many thanks.
Millymoo :) xx

Hi everyone

I have allowed the last two posts for balance but I am now locking this thread to further posts.

I am quite sure that the remark was made in humour and was not suggesting anything further. It was made in response to someone who has been asked to attend their 5th medical in 4 years, and I know of claimants who are being assessed every 4-6 months.

This is first thread I have had to lock in several months.
