How best to notify DWP/Atos of period away ?

I originally noted down the dates I couldn't attend any medical on the form, however since then I've arranged to go away for three weeks during July/August.
The last thing I want is a letter turning up from Atos/DWP while I'm away that requires a response before I return home.
Would it best I write to both ATOS and DWP and notify them of these extra days ?

My migration ESA50 was submitted first week of May and I don't expect to hear from either ATOS or DWP until at least July.

It is advisable to inform them by letter (sent recorded/special delivery if possible then you have an audit trail). Again it would be advisable to inform both the DWP and ATOS. (It is actually a requirement to inform the DWP).

I have just send off my esa 50 form giving dates when I will be on holiday. I sent it recorded special delivery to be signed for. With regard to the last posts should I telephone the DWP of my holiday dates as I believe the form will go directly to ATOS and they don't seem to communicate very well according to this forum. Are there any tips when telephoning or would it be better to write a letter and again have it recorded. I am not good on the telephone and again I will have no proof of who I spoke to and whether it will be noted. My stress levels are high at the moment - sorry for going on so
Yes, The DWP should be informed (of any) periods of absence on holiday etc, preferably in writing and recorded delivery (so you have an audit trail).

I'm aware of the ESA40 leaflet, but thought those rules only applied to those currently on ESA. I wasn't aware it also applied during migration while I was still in receipt of IS, and assumed IS rules still applied.
The DWP have not included any information in the migration pack about me having to notifying them when going away ?
