I returned my completed ESA50 on 11th May. Does anyone know when I can expect a decision of any kind. Does it take weeks or months to hear?

Hi,

Sorry to say but it is quite a 'how long is a piece of string' type scenario. It can depend on how busy the ATOS centre dealing with ones claim is, whether or not one is actually going to be called for a medical or not and potentially the workload of the DWP office dealing with the claim.

I'm afraid that is rather like asking 'how long is a piece of string?'!

It took 5 months from the start of my claim until the date of my 'medical' and then a further 2 weeks for the decision.

How long until they make a decision?
