Type of chair for sitting question

Type of chair for sitting question was created by Gateway
My question refers to the question on the ESA50 regarding sitting and standing. Is there any guidance on the type of chair, beyond that it can be an adjustable chair? Can the type of chair used include sitting with a footstool? Could the chair be a sofa, or armchair with a footrest/footstool? Or is this not specified?

Many thanks.

In general it usually could be treated as a standard type of adjustable office chair with arms (yes I know there are many of them!). But it would generally not be a sofa type of arrangement.

An 'adjustable chair' is the only thing specified.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Thanks very much, Pete and Mrs H. I'll assume that they're talking about an adjustable office chair, with no footstool provided.

All the best.
