Extra stress of harassment: include in ESA50?

I've been facing a prolonged campaign of harassment and I've been sent the ESA50 form to complete, should I tell them of the extra stress this has put me under aswell as my psychiatric condition or will this just muddy the waters?

I have my illness to start with but I'm thinking this other external pressure may give them an excuse to say that it's not my illness, if you can understand what I mean. I don't have an illness, I just have a lot of nuisance neighbours maybe.

TIA

Hi,

Although you could mention it, what one really needs to concentrate on is meeting the necessary descriptors and describing how ones illness affects the claimant within those descriptors.

Although environmental factors could be considered, it would in my opinion carry less weight than concentration on the claimants illness v the descriptors.

Only you can decide whether to include this information on your ESA50.

Have you tried to get face to face advice to help you complete the ESA50? See

Hi Erland

I think it's worth mentioning the extra stress of harrassment on your ESA50.

I recently had to move flats because I was
being harrassed and it was affecting my
depressive illness. I was worried that Atos would think that if I could move, then I should be able to work. I explained that the stress of the harrassment was making it even more difficult for me to function, or to go out at all.

I also got a good supporting letter from my GP.

I was recently placed in the support group whereas before I was in the wrag group.
I'm sure it's a combination of things that help them decide which group you should be in, but I don't think you have anything to lose by explaining how the harrassment
is affecting your daily ability to function/sleep etc. Being harrassed is
awful, especially when you suffer from mental illness.
