Please can somebody tell me.. was created by RobJean
Hi All,
Sorry to be a bit thick, but..
Please can somebody tell me..
What exact ESA discriptors I have been awarded for by Tribunal.
Says on the notice..
The discriptors satisfied in schedule 2 ESA Regulations are..
1 (c) - 9 points
2 (c) - 6 points
Basically, I am after the exact wording of the descriptors I satisfy.
Thank you.

Thanks Mrs Hurtyback (I know how you feel!)
Have checked these but they dont seem to corrulate with the letters or points awarded..
Example: 1 (c) - 9 points
1. Walking and using steps
(a) Cannot walk at all. 15 points
(b) Cannot walk more than 50 metres on level ground without repeatedly stopping or severe
discomfort. 15 points
(c) Cannot walk up or down two steps even with the support of a handrail. 15 points
(d) Cannot walk more than 100 metres on level ground without stopping or severe
discomfort. 9 points
(e) Cannot walk more than 200 metres on level ground without stopping or severe
discomfort. 6 points
(f) None of the above apply. 0 points
Example 2: 2 (c) - 6 points
2. Standing and sitting
(a) Cannot stand for more than 10 minutes, unassisted by another person, even if free to
move around, before needing to sit down. 15 points
(b) Cannot sit in a chair with a high back and no arms for more than 10 minutes before
needing to move from the chair because the degree of discomfort experienced makes it
impossible to continue sitting. 15 points
(c) Cannot rise to standing from sitting in an upright chair without physical assistance from
another person. 15 points
(d) Cannot move between one seated position and another seated position located next to
one another without receiving physical assistance from another person. 15 points
(e) Cannot stand for more than 30 minutes, even if free to move around, before needing to sit
down. 6 points
(f) Cannot sit in a chair with a high back and no arms for more than 30 minutes without
needing to move from the chair because the degree of discomfort makes it impossible to
continue sitting. 6 points
(g) None of the above apply. 0 points
Any ideas..??
Thank You.

I'm sorry, I think I misunderstood your first post I think you are saying that the points your were awarded do not match the points associated with the descriptors. Is that correct?

You are looking at the old descriptors
1(c) Cannot either
(i) mobilise more than 100 meters on level ground without stopping in order to avoid significant discomfort or exhaustion or
(ii) repeatedly mobilise 100 meters within a reasonable timescale because of significant discomfort or exhaustion. 9 points
2(c) Cannot, for the majority of the time, remain at a work station, either:
(i) standing unassisted by another person (even if free to move around) or;
(ii) sitting (even in an adjustable chair)
for more than an hour before needing to move away in order to avoid significant discomfort or exhaustion. 6 points

I think the points are right but the letters '(c)' are wrong, which is no help to me as I dont know for sure what discriptors they awarded me.
I think the 9 points must be:
1. Walking and using steps
(d) Cannot walk more than 100 metres on level ground without stopping or severe discomfort. 9 points
..and the 6 points one of the below
2. Standing and sitting
(e) Cannot stand for more than 30 minutes, even if free to move around, before needing to sit down. 6 points
(f) Cannot sit in a chair with a high back and no arms for more than 30 minutes without needing to move from the chair because the degree of discomfort makes it impossible to continue sitting. 6 points
Do you think that makes sense?
Thank You.
