War Pension Medical and Benefit Medical. was created by nigel
How can the DWP find me capable of work by a nurse that didn't even know I had a GP. As opposed to a Ministry of Defence appointed Doctor who came to my flat and gave me a thorough examination and decided that my disability had increased from 80 percent to 90 percent and I am now entitled to a preserved pension?
I am quite bewildered!

I assume you are talking about ESA? The nurse who carried out your assessment on behalf of DWP was considering your ability to carry out certain, very specific, tasks rather than your ability to work in any capacity. Are you planning to appeal this decision?

War Pension criteria and medicals differ greatly from ESA.
Sorry MODs not your remit I know but how long after the War Pension medical did you have to wait to hear back from the SPVA?

Hi Nigel,
Without access to your case papers, it's impossible for me as a moderator to say, and I suspect any other moderator either.
Attempting to do so would be purely guesswork, and would of no use to you whatsoever.
You can make a complaint to Atos Medical Services who employ heath care professionals, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists to carry out medicals.
See : Atos complaints procedure revealed
Hope this is of help.
Good luck.
Jim
