The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA) replaced the green card.does the green card not cover you still with regard to proving disability via the equality act, when going through the dwp process?

I'm not sure what you mean by the "DWP process", but on the assumption you are referring to qualifying for DLA or ESA, then I would say that the DDA is aimed at generic definitions of disability whereas both DLA and ESA have very specific definitions, so to answer your question, no! it's not applicable.

The green card was discontinued and replaced by the DDA.does that mean then that as far as employment law's concerned the green card (past proved disability) counts, but re: benefits, you're not classed as disabled. am thinking with regard to equality act mentions somewhere about previous disabilities still being regarded as such?
You'll have to forgive me, but I'm not sure what point you are trying to get across?

equality act took over from dda?
"If you were a Green Card holder between Dec '96 & Dec '99 you are automatically protected by the act, in respect of PAST DISABILITIES".
So, whilst the above is of no relevance then in proving myself disabled when it comes to the benefits, if i was working, i would have protection there?
so, despite department of employment issuing the cards and recognising your disability, the equality act also recognising the past disability(green card termination date)., it's only of any use to you with regard to being employed?
