Carer's Allowance, Incapacity Benefit and Employment and Support Allowance are known as overlapping benefits, which may reduce a proportion of your IB (ESA if you are successfully migrated) or remove it altogether in favour of CA.

The amount of CA and IB/ESA which may be payable is very much dependent on individual circumstances and as has been indicated in the previous post, you need to seek face-to-face advice from an advice agency to ensure that you are receiving your correct benefit entitlement?

I have tried every known advice centre in the north of england and received a resounding blank. Have you an advice centre that has a number I can telephone and get a face to face quickly. I hope so but the people i have so far spoken to are nothing short of useless. Everybody has the figures as I do but no body has the answers to questions that matter. One being how do you get the explanation to the questions that are in the form. Your guide is good but I find it is difficult to transfer to personal use. I need a one to one advisor in the house quickly.

However, I can see that you're extremely concerned about migration from IB to ESA, so I've taken the decision to answer. Other members please note that this is a 'one off' answer and not to be taken that further RTM's when the forum is locked will be replied to.

Also, Manchester has quite a few Law Centres, but I cannot find a link to them all. So my advice is to just 'Google' Law Centres in Manchester and that will come up with their names, contact numbers and catchment areas.
