Do you mean Carers Allowance?on IB along with DLA and in receipt of ICA to look after other half. Told cannot be possible to have ICA and IB at the same time by ATOS. DWP say I must fill in form ESA50 even though I am looking after some one. Where do I stand
I am afraid that looking after someone does not exempt you from being transferred from IB to ESA. You need to complete and return the ESA50 to ATOS within the notified timescales or your payments may be stopped.
Does your partner claim DLA at the middle or higher rate of care? If so, you may be entitled to switch to an Income Support Claim as a Carer, however, you should seek advice regarding the implications of doing this, see
Where to get advice?

Carer's Allowance, Incapacity Benefit and Employment and Support Allowance are known as overlapping benefits, which may reduce a proportion of your IB (ESA if you are successfully migrated) or remove it altogether in favour of CA.
The amount of CA and IB/ESA which may be payable is very much dependent on individual circumstances and as has been indicated in the previous post, you need to seek face-to-face advice from an advice agency to ensure that you are receiving your correct benefit entitlement?

You really shouldn't use the 'Report to Moderator' for queries when the forum is locked, but wait until it opens again at 8.00 pm tonight then post again.
However, I can see that you're extremely concerned about migration from IB to ESA, so I've taken the decision to answer. Other members please note that this is a 'one off' answer and not to be taken that further RTM's when the forum is locked will be replied to.
There are lots of links to benefits advice centres provided by Manchester City Council HERE
Also, Manchester has quite a few Law Centres, but I cannot find a link to them all. So my advice is to just 'Google' Law Centres in Manchester and that will come up with their names, contact numbers and catchment areas.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
Jim
