advice needed was created by laura.dorans
i had the dla doctor come out to see on the 19th of july and i've also had my medical notes from the doctors for the past 2 years to help with dla appeal.
well today i went to the doctors and i got diagnosed with fibromyalgia so do i need to inform dla of this or is it a new claim form.
they have all the symptoms i have had on the form the only things i've been given a diagnosis

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Your DLA claim is based on your care and mobility needs, not the diagnosis. If the needs have not changed then you have not had a chance of circumstances.

Given the timescales, I assume no more than a few weeks since you completed the forms, it is difficult to see how this diagnosis would constitute a Change of Circumstances, as you would obviously have been effected by your FMS at the time, but if in doubt, you should notify the DWP.

It may be to your advantage to notify the DWP of your diagnosis in relation to your recent assessment as it may go towards confirming your care and mobility needs.but i thought you need to keep them upto with any changes, there is a change i've got a diagnois
