Atos home assessment
- bro58
Thank you all for your replies.
Am I within my rights to request that a home visit is recorded?
Ah and bro58, I'm wading through that information now. Thank you for the link.
Hi EL,
As far as I am aware there are no provisions in place to request that your home assessment is recorded by the ATOS HCP.
See our information on "Recording Medical" here :

There is nothing to stop you covertly recording the proceedings for your own reference purposes.
Be warned though, that if the ATOS "Doctor" becomes aware that you are recording the assessment, he will abandon it.

At the end I was told the I would receive a letter in a few weeks time with a decision. Does that sound about right or are decision letters taking longer at the moment?
Many Thanks,
El

ElLoco wrote: Hi all, just a quick update. Just after Christmas around the 28th, I think, I received a letter with an appointment date, which was today. The assessment lasted 35 minutes, there was no computer involved, just questions and note taking plus a minor physical test. How all that is meant to judge some ones ability to work is beyond me.

Hi EL,
Thanks for the update.
The LiMA software is not used in Home Assessments, that is why there would have been no computer involved.
The examining ATOS HCP, will now forward the report to The DWP DM, it is hard to say how long it will be before you receive notice of the decision.
There seems to be much variation.
Please keep us informed.

Needless to say I've been jumping up 'n' down waving my pantaloni in the air ever since

I would like to thank everyone at B&W for all the help given, also all the posters to the forum for sharing their experiences.
I have one question, the letter did not state the length of time before I may be called for another "assessment", just that my ESA payments would begin at the end of this month. So how do I find out when I'm due to be hauled over the coals again?
Many Thanks,
El

Great News EL !!!!

Thank you for your kind comments.
Yes you would have to request your ESA85 Medical Report, as you had a face to face assessment.
Information from my post earlier should help :

Please be careful not to do yourself a mischief with the pantaloni.
