Hi m1983,

If you are currently in receipt of IB you will be transferred to Contributary ESA sometime before spring 2014

See :

What will I be transferred to?

You are correct in that UC will supersede IR ESA.

See this thread for the latest news on UC :

Universal Credit which supposedly will replace over 40 benefits in 2013 is still much of an unknown quantity, for example no rates of payment have yet been announced.

Also, to date Steve has not yet been able to produce a guide in the members only area on UC.

Although when we have more information on UC, there will be a guide for members.
