Hi all. This will be my first post and i wish to ask you a couple of questions. If you have not taken any notes/proof of heath etc,is it then too late to do so, or are you able to do this during the appeal stage if needs.

The consentus seems to be from the IB advice PDF files is that if ATOS don't have such proof at the medical then the appeal stage might say "well it's not on your file."
Iam due to be called in any week now and although i have GP notes i have requested note from several hospitals which can take some time.
I have previosly always met the freshhold for IB,without medical( BUT I GUESS NOW THAT MEANS SAP !)

The other question is how would you answer the question...
"do you want to work"?
Thank you mikeb

Most claimants who go to appeal, will produce additional evidence, should the question be asked at a hearing, which I doubt, your not being able to produce it in time for the assessment would be a reasonable reason.

That said, we would encourage all claimants to try and collect as much evidence as possible for the initial assessment, remember you can still take documents with you on the day of the assessment. If you do this, then you should also send copies to the DWP, see

Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS

With regard the question "do you want to work?", the only advice I can offer, is to be honest, but if your condition(s) restrict your ability, then explain why this is the case.
