ESA appeal - providing more detail of my condition

I've recently moved from England to Northern Ireland. In England I was medically assessed and m,oved into the work related activity group - to bev reviewed in 18 months.

In NI, effectively they started the process all over again, sent me for another assessment and said that I'm fit for work - all in the space of a few months, and despite the fact that I've just started counselling for post traumatic stress. The medical assessment in NI here was pefunctory to say the least - lasting about 15 mins in what looked like a pre-determined decision)

I'm appealing the decision. So:

can I request the medical papers from England - the assessment was also completed by ATOS?
can I now expand more on how my condition affects my everyday life at appeal, and would it make any difference (I filled in the medical questionnaire before I joined this forum - arrgh)?
It is worth making anything of the inconistency in assessment - done only months apart with noting other than my address changing?

There is little consitency in the ESA process so it is not entirely surprising that two assessments, seperated by only months, can produce completely different results, unfortunately, you can only concern yourself with the latest one.

You may be able to request the papers from your previous assesment by writing to the Benefit Centre that handled your claim.

As you are appealing you are entitled to submit whatever evidence you believe helps your claim.

If you have not actually lodged the appeal, then please have a look at the following FAQs

How long do I have to appeal?
