I have a friend who like me is migrating from IB to ESA. She has just been told she is having an ESA "medical" at home.
This was not requested and she was told she cannot have one at a local examination centre, it has to be in her home. This is in the far north of Scotland where there is plenty space in the local hospitals for them to use so it cannot be lack of places to hold the medicals.
Has anyone else heard of this? Are they using this as a chance to spy on us by checking out our homes now? or am I just being paranoid??
We both have dogs and worry that they will say we are fit to work because of that, not take into account that we are not able to exercise them ourselves.
People usually complain that they are unable to get home medicals for ESA, this is the first time I have heard of someone being given one when they did not ask for it! There medicals are usually carried out in local JobCentres rather than hospitals, is it possible that you do not have one of these within a 90 minute travelling distance?
