FOUND FIT FOR WORK, BUT WHAT DO I DO NEXT?

My husband received the letter today saying he has scored 12 points and so was found fit for work. We don't agree.

I was wondering what we do next - do we ask for them to look at the decision again, or appeal straight away. Or do we need to receive the ESA65 Decision Makers Statement of Reasons and ESA85 Medical Report produced by the Health Care Professional first, and then ask them to look at the decision or appeal straight away.

Your husband can continue being paid assessment rate ESA once the appeal has been submitted (but not if you just ask for a reconsideration)as long as he provides 'fitnotes' from his GP during this time.
