Still waiting for ESA result

I should of had an appeal hearing last Monday against being piut in the WRAG in May 2011, however on the morning of the appeal they called to cancel it.
In July of this year I was sent a new form to complete which I sent back to Atos in mid july.I called JCP teh other day to ask if ther was any news and was told it was still with Atos who had written to my GP in August for more information. My GP says he returned the form in mid september. JCP also said that the decision about the latest test will be held after the tribunal result. What I am asking is would this warrant Atos delaying their report or should they just be doing the medical and returning it to JCP.

ATOS will only be concerned with producing a medical report for your current assessment.Hi Please bear with me if what I am asking sounds confusing.

It is possible for them to be involved (seperately), in your Tribunal proceedings if the panel have requested information from them, but from your previous posts this does not appear to be the case.
It might be worth your checking with ATOS that they have received the GP's report they requested, and what the current status of your assessment is. ATOS can be contacted on 0113 230 9175 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

You are right tribunal are writing to my GP with ref to my appeal.
With regards to current assessment I rang Atos yesterday and all they would say is that they received the esa113 form from my GP in mid sept, and that my file is still with their medical team.
Just seems to be taking a long time.

We only have visibility of the timescales for the face to face assessments, where it is very unusual for the report not to be completed on the same day as the claimant is seen, these rarely required a GP report. Thanks Gordon

A lot of IB, IS, SDA claimants are being moved to ESA without a medical, my impression is that in these cases, the assessment is carried out by a different group of "doctors" than the face to face ones, so I am guessing that they, like the DWP, are struggling with resource issues.

Do you also see a pattern whereby most of these transfers are for people with very serious medical issues who are none the less put into the WRAG and have to appeal (and maybe have the medical after all) to get into the Support Group?A lot of IB, IS, SDA claimants are being moved to ESA without a medical, my impression is that in these cases, the assessment is carried out by a different group of "doctors" than the face to face ones, so I am guessing that they, like the DWP, are struggling with resource issues.

Or are you see a significant number going straight into SG without a medical?

The feedback from the members seems to point to the fact that the majority who are given an award of ESA without a face to face assessment are placed into The WRAG.
Some have been placed straight into the SG, obviously.
It's what I call "Production Line Assessment" .
