IB to ESA WRAG, WFI

If I stay in WRAG, at 62 and 1/2 I am over the upper age limit for WFI, will they just not call me for a WFI, or shall I be called and then have to refuse on age grounds? If I do not have to attend any WFI shall I just continue to receive ESA for the 52 weeks, or will there be further contact from DWP?
If I do appeal will I receive ESA while the appeal is processed, and could I be called for WFI during this period?

As you are over the Upper Age limit for WFIs you should not be called for one.I was on IB since 1988 (Emphysema and depression/anxiety). In July I had to complete the esa claim form, I was not called for a ATOS medical, but I have now been notified that I have been placed in the WRAG. I am considering an appeal to try and get into the support group.

As you were transferred from IB you are now receoving ESA(CB) which is time limited to 365 days while you are in the WRAG, if, at the end of this period you are also eligible for ESA(IR), your payments will continue, if not then you remain eligible for ESA, but will only receive NI Credits towards a full State Pension.
It is possible that you will be re-assessed during the 12 month, to find out if this is likely you can request your ESA85A, the prognosis is used to set the next assessment date.
Appealing will not effect either of the above. Should you be seriously considering this option, have a look at the following FAQs.

Well done on being placed in the WRAG, it's still a positive result
