I am appealing against the decision to place me in the WRAG and not the support group. Having requested the medical report; it states on this form that it will be at least two years before I may be fit for work. I was under the impression that you could only be in the WRAG for a maximum of one year. Not sure if anyone here can offer any further information on this please?

If you are receiving Contribution Based ESA as opposed to Income Related ESA, then payment, but not the benefit, is limited to 365 days whilst you are in the WRAG.I am appealing against the decision to place me in the WRAG and not the support group. The ATOS prognosis (2 years), is independant of the type of ESA you are receiving, the limitation is a legal one, and is not refelective of your medical conditions. See
12 Month Limit for ESA(CB)

An award of WRAG for 2 years does seem somewhat contradictory, I know, but you are not alone in receiving long awards of WRAG, see this post :
