Atos medical

At my last medical i received no points, so i appealed and won my case. i was put on the work support programme and have a job advisor who I have seen twice. I have now been told to have another medical. The time for this was set for this Sunday afternoon, which happens to be my Birthday. I rang ATOS and asked if this was a joke? Not at all, we can ask you to have a medical on any day we wish. I refused this date for obvious reasons and am waiting for another date. I honestly believe that ATOS are trying their best to grind you down. A medical on a Sunday on your Birthday? jeez!

ATOS must by law give you 7 days written notice if they want to medically assess you.

Legally, this should be in writing, but these days it's not uncommon for ATOS health care professionals to contact claimants by ' phone a couple of days before they wish to call.

All claimants are perfectly within their rights to refuse a medical if it's not in writing and at least 7 days notice.

You were well within your rights to refuse.
