ESA Sanctions over age of 60 was created by nada678
Hello
I read on an NHS website earlier on this year that
you will not be santioned in ESA Wrag group if you
are over 60. Do you know if this is true, or if it
will change after 3rd December?
Thank you

You are not required to attend WFIs or participate in Work Related Activity if you are over the Upper Age limit. For a woman this is their State Retirement Age, for a man it is the SRA for a woman born on the same day as you.Hello

Yes, but the retirement age is being moved on a sliding scale,so currently it is not 60; for example for someone who's 60th birthday is today won't get their pension until July 2015.

Therefore, you would need to be over 60 because of the change in state pension age. According to the calculator a woman born in July 1951 would just have reached state pension age now at the age of over 61
