I have been on Incapacity Benefit but am now in the process of being assessed for eligibility for ESA. I haven’t completed the ESA50 Questionnaire as yet (it’s due back on 10th December).
I have a question (as follows). I would be grateful if someone could help me out :-
Question 1 There is something called a "Customer Statement" which I’m told should be sent in to the appropriate DWP Office at the first opportunity when applying for ESA - can you tell me please what a "Customer Statement" is and what rank or position of person in the DWP it should be sent to?
Would it be relevant in my case, coming, as I am, from the direction of having been on Incapacity Benefit immediately previously (rather than having recently become unfit for work)? Thank you for any answers.

A Customer Statement is usually requested as part of a new claim for ESA, basically it requires the claimant to legally confirm the details of their claim as being true and accurate.I have been on Incapacity Benefit but am now in the process of being assessed for eligibility for ESA.
