I am assuming that last Wednesday's appeal was unsuccessful.Hi , do I write to my local office to ask for a statement of reasons and is it worth doing so cant get through on the phone number on the letter
Regards Neil
You need to make your request for a Statement of Reasons, in writing, to the Tribunal Office that was handling your appeal. See
Tribunals – Requesting a Statement of Reasons
To progress this you will need to show that there has been an Error of Law in the proceedings
What is an Error of Law?
You will need to get advice from someone with experience with appealing to the Upper Tribunal, try Googling "welfare advice" with your town or county.

I can only refer you to my link on Errors of Law. You cannot pursue this matter because you disagree with the Decision.Yes unsuccessful I'm afraid thanks Gordon will write to them, do you know if anyone has had a good result persuading this further
Thanks N
As an alternative, which can be done in parallel to any other action you might make, you can make a new claim for DLA.

According to my contact at the Tribunal Services currently over 55% who appeal are successful.
I'm afraid I cannot give you a useful link for this at present, as it would be out of date.
The latest statistics should be in the public domain next month.
I used to be a DLA Tribunal Member, so have contacts where I can get information before it appears in the public domain.
