Most assessments are shorter than the 1 hour+ that you mention. Mine took around 30 minutes. You will be able to sit, stand, move around or even lie down if you need to while the assessment is taking place.

Times vary, but I would say they average 40-45 minutes, with 20 minutes at the lower level and maybe an hour at the other extreme, however, you will need to arrive early, I believe the recommendation is either 10 or 15 minutes, also, it is not unusual for appointments to run late, so you could be waiting anything upto an hour, maybe longer.

It is perfectly acceptable to stand during the assessment, some members have reported that they lay on the couch for the whole appointment, whatever is most comfortable for you, and if you are not comfortable, make it known to the Assessor.

You don't say whether you are going with anybody, but if you can take a companion I would recommend it.

Good luck

Gordon
