sandra wrote: Hi, I had my reply from Atos about the complaint I made this weekend. They agreed that the HCP didn't fully understand implications of one of my illnesses but didn't think it would make any difference to the decision. They also picked up on some minor quality issues in the report regarding the lack of clarification about my function and they sent this to my local benefits office. I contacted them and they hadn't received anything , but they did find out that it went to another office and told me that it would ow be put to a decision maker for them to consider what to do, But I have already sent everything in to the appeals office, so I'm not sure what will happen to this information and also I would like to know exactly what was put on the information they sent and exactly what issues they picked up on, but unfortunately, the lady in the benefits office said she couldn't tell me that.
Ufortunately, the report has to be pretty bad before ATOS will uphold a complaint, and virtually useless for it to be deemed unfit for purpose.
You should be able to find out what is in the ATOS note to your local DWP office by making a written request for the document.

sandra wrote: Can anyone tell me what qualifications the Customers Relations Medical Adviser would have
Hi S,
I am afraid that this question would have to be posed to ATOS, as different people in different posts with ATOS may obviously have to have a minimum standard of qualifications to carry out their stipulated duties.
It would be a perfectly reasonable request to ask for such information from ATOS, see :

The one who looked at my complaint was a doctor.

Just to add.The letter i got from ATOS did'nt have the information about the CRMA who went over my ESA85 being a Doctor, that letter was signed by a customer relations manager only. After a bit of a struggle,by that i mean writing to the DWP big wigs, twice,i eventually got the memorandum that was sent to the DWP about the complaint. Its this that has the CRMA's identity on,a doctor, and their signature.
